"Yay! It's Summer!! Lets break stuff!"

So today started out like any other day, we go up, showered, Jorge went to work and I got Lori her breakfast and turned on Good Morning America. But then, at 8:30 there was a VERY strong knock on the door, fallowed shortly by the door bell ringing. That made me nervous so I peeked out the window and saw the Constable. Then I was even MORE nervous! I opened the door and he asked me if I had seen my car window. I said no and then we walked outside and that's when I saw this...

and then this...

My first thought was, "Crap, they stole our pack 'n play!!" But no, they didn't steal ANYTHING! Then I thought, maybe it was my "W04" sticker (no jokes please) but I live in Texas, and he's not president anymore, so I ruled that out too. After mentioning that to the Constable, he told me that every year after school gets out for the summer, kids go around and cause destruction just for the "fun" of it. Gah! Well their fun, just cost us 240 bucks!!

Have a good summer kids... geez!

Cousin bonding!

CUTIES!!

Like I said in an earlier post, my family was in town for a whole 10 days not long ago and there was SO much going on that it is virtually impossible for me to blog about all of it, so I have broken it all up in to small parts... this part is about Lori and Wyatt.

I can tell all ready that they are going to LOVE each other! I can't wait to live closer to them someday, it will be so much fun to watch these two grow up together.
They have matching "100% baby boy" and "100% baby girl" onesies that still fit so we made them wear those, at least once while they were together.

Here they are communicating in their own special way...

I like the way he's lookin' at Lori in this one.

Daddies and their babies... (note Jorge's face... he did that on purpose, which is why I'm posting it.)

I was in the back of the van we rented with the two kiddos and couldn't help myself...

here they are in my sunglasses.

Wyatt LOVED the aquarium swing, and Lori liked to "help" him go faster...

We borrowed a double jogger from the Kuykendall's and took the kids for a walk. We had to make a stop at Sonic for Happy Hour!

So there you go, fun with cousins... more from the visit to come.

Lori's new friend

Lori LOVES to look out the kitchen window, and one afternoon she had a little friend looking back at her. It was one of our many backyard squirrels. They stared at each other for close to a minute. At one point the squirrel was even standing up on it's hind legs, looking at Lori. It made me laugh, so I made Jorge take a picture of it...

And then he was gone, as mysteriously as he had arrived.

Where's Lori?

Lori is getting bigger, and smarter by the minute, and with that come more fun! The other night when we were getting her ready for bed we took a break to play some peek-a-boo! It makes us giggle every time we watch this video, and I hope you like it as much as we do...

6 adults +2 babies +10 day +1 birthday = a whole lot of fun!! (part 1)

Because so much has happened over the last 10 days I'm going to be doing several posts over the next few days in order to avoid one HUGE post and having to drag all the pictures I'm going to be posting...
so stay tuned.

My WHOLE family flew in to Houston on April 23 so that they could all be here for Lori's Birthday and Birthday party! I was beyond excited to see them, as was Jorge s

ince he hadn't met our nephew Wyatt yet.

After picking them up from the airport we all went to lunch at a restaurant called Prince's where we were able to trade babies (I needed to get my hands on Wyatt and Megan/Ryan/my Mom/my Dad all needed their Lori fix)

The cousins got a chance to "bond" as well...

The next day was Lori's FIRST Birthday. She had her 12 month check up, (she now weighs 17 lbs 2 oz) and we got the green light to start giving her Peanut Butter. This will make my lunch making much easier, since I often make Jorge a Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwich for lunch. Here she is enjoying her first Peanut Butter sandwich.

That night we had Lori's Birthday dinner at Chacho's. As always, the food was delicious. We enjoyed a FULL order of the King Kong nachos, an order or nachos that can EASILY feed 6 people with some left over. I'm getting hungry just thinking about them.

Kisses for the Birthday girl!

THUMBS UP FOR BIRTHDAYS!!!

Yay for good friends!

Our good friends the kuykendalls joined us in the birthday festivities... here are four of the five of them. Samuel was there, he was just sleeping in his little seat...

They gave Lori an very sweet Curious George ball for her birthday.

Barnes and offspring

My sister Megan and her precious boy Wyatt!!
This time around Wyatt passed on the nachos, I don't think that will be the case next time.

BABY SWAP!

After dinner we came home and gave Lori a taste of Birthday cake.
